Students who ride bicycles to school, the designated area to park your bikes is at the bike rack on the cement in front of the Office. Do not park in the dirt and lock your bike to the black fence. That area has stickers and will cause flat tires.

Seniors, the time to submit your Senior Quotes to yearbook is here! Check your email for a message from Mr. Sanchez, or scan the QR code posted outside L-6. Upload personality pictures, shout out friends, and share memories to be used in this year’s yearbook. The final date Senior Quotes can be submitted is January 31.

The Yucca Valley Lady Trojan Basketball team fell behind early and couldn’t recover falling to basin rival 29 Palms HS by a 46-32 score Tuesday night in the Trojan Gym. The visiting Wildcats jumped out to a 19-6 first quarter lead and led 27-12 at the half as they kept the Lady Trojans frustrated for much of the game. The Yucca girls pulled within 12 points midway through the third quarter but could get no closer. Senior Syhelie Gilmore led Yucca with 15 points while fellow senior Tayla Monroy added 9 points. Sophomore Nahveah Baclig chipped in 8 points. The Lady Trojans look to get back in the win column on Thursday when they travel to Indio HS to face the Rajahs. Tip- off is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
The Lady Trojan JV Basketball team hosted 29 Palms Tuesday afternoon in the Trojan Gym and fell by a 32-21 score. Freshmen Brooklynn Jordan and Elizabeth Milson led the team with 6 points each while sophomore Nadia Sofranko chipped in 5 points. The squads next game is Thursday when they travel to Indio HS. Game time is set for 4:00 pm.
Yucca Valley High Schools Boys Soccer teams traveled to 29 Palms High School January 14. Junior Varsity won the game 6 to Zero. Goal scorers were Jose Flores Diaz scored 4 goals, Gabriel Santana scored 1, Brayan Quintero scored 1 and Davis Zaller scored 1. Our team played well, our passing was improved. Player of the match was defender Dylan Mills for his leadership and effort. Varsity won 12 to 2. Goal scorers were Oswaldo Lopez scored 3, Cole Thompson scored 3, Diego Dylaney scored 2, Adrian Tamayo scored 2, Kaleb Mix scored 1, Pete Castilo scored 1. We had solid passing tonight and played well as a team. Player of the match was Adrian Tamayo who scored 2 goals and had 5 assists helping his teammates scoring. We look forward to our home opener on Thursday vs Indio HS. JV at 4:00 pm and Varsity at 5:30 pm.
