Seniors, the time to submit your Senior Quotes to yearbook is here! Check your email for a message from Mr. Sanchez, or scan the QR code posted outside L-6. Upload personality pictures, shout out friends, and share memories to be used in this year’s yearbook. The final date Senior Quotes can be submitted is January 31.

The Yucca Valley Lady Trojan Basketball team traveled to Indio HS on Tuesday evening and came home with a 66-26 Desert Valley League victory. The Yucca girls jumped out to a 38-20 halftime lead on their way to evening their league record to 2-2 on the season. Junior Teagan Moon led a balanced scoring attack with a game high 17 points. She was followed by senior Toriana Simpson who pumped in 11 points and sophomore Nahveah Baclig who notched 9 points. Senior Tayla Monroy added 8 points while sophomore Kennedy Golden and senior Syhelie Gilmore each chipped in 7 points. The team returns to action on Tuesday 1/21 with a critical home game against 3-1 Coachella Valley HS. Game time is 5:30 pm in the Trojan Gym.

The Yucca Valley Trojans Soccer teams hosted the Indio Rajahs in an exciting evening of competition, showcasing the resilience and determination of both JV and Varsity teams. The JV Trojans fought hard but fell short in a dramatic 2-0 loss against their rivals. Despite the setback, the team's continuous improvement is evident with each game. Coach Adan Mendoza praised the team’s defensive line and highlighted the exceptional leadership of team captain Brayan Quintero, whose efforts are helping to guide the squad toward future successes. Meanwhile, the Varsity Trojans delivered a nail-biting performance, securing a narrow 2-1 victory over the Indio Rajahs. The match kept fans on the edge of their seats, with Oswaldo Lopez emerging as the hero of the night. Lopez, who was nominated as Player of the Match by Coach Jorge Rodriguez, contributed both goals, leading the Trojans to a well-earned victory. The Trojans now look ahead to their next challenge as they prepare to compete against the Coachella Valley Arabs on Tuesday in an away match.
