PBIS
PBIS Coordinator - Mrs. Jessica Gibbs
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a proactive approach to establishing behavioral and cultural supports needed for all students to achieve social, emotional, and academic success. Rather than focusing on punishment, PBIS emphasizes teaching, modeling, and recognizing positive behaviors throughout the school. This framework creates clear, consistent expectations across all school settings—from classrooms and cafeterias to hallways and playgrounds—helping students understand what good behavior looks like in different contexts. Through a three-tiered support system, PBIS provides universal support for all students, targeted interventions for some students, and intensive support for students who need additional help.
